Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has intensified security along the borders to prevent illegal crossings throughout the country.
Shariful Islam, the public relations officer of BGB, confirmed this development.
The security enhancement comes amid reports that numerous Awami League members have attempted to flee the country following the fall of the Awami League government.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned and fled the country yesterday.
