The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecasted light to moderate, and at times, moderately heavy to heavy rainfall or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds across all eight divisions of the country within the next 24 hours, starting from 9 am today.
According to the weather bulletin released this morning, “Light to moderate rain or thundershowers, accompanied by temporary gusty wind, is expected to occur at most places in the Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions, and at many places in the Rangpur, Rajshahi, and Dhaka divisions, with moderately heavy to heavy falls at some locations across the country.”
The bulletin also noted that the day temperature may see a slight increase, while the night temperature is likely to remain nearly unchanged throughout the country.
On Friday, the highest temperature in the country was recorded at 34.0 degrees Celsius in Sayedpur, while the lowest temperature today was 24.5 degrees Celsius in Tangail.
Rainfall over the last 24 hours, ending at 6 am today, was recorded at 74 mm in Dimla.
In Dhaka, the sun will set at 6:36 pm today and rise at 5:32 am tomorrow.
