Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus announced today that all ministries and departments are required to submit innovative, citizen-friendly, and time-bound action plans for reform. These plans will include short, medium, and long-term objectives and will be subject to regular evaluation.
The directive was issued following a meeting between Dr. Yunus and the secretaries of all ministries. During the meeting, it was decided that swift action is needed to adopt and implement reform programs across all levels of government. These programs are to be developed in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
Dr. Yunus emphasized the need for honesty, dedication, and accountability in all areas of governance. He invoked the spirit of the July-August student uprising, calling for a united effort to build a more humane, discrimination-free Bangladesh. The chief adviser stressed the importance of eradicating corruption, improving service delivery, and maximizing public satisfaction.
His directives also included ensuring the optimal use of public funds, promoting fair competition in government procurement, and removing barriers to transparency and accountability.
