The “Shaheedi March,” organized by the Anti-discrimination Student Movement, is set to commence at 3 PM today from the Raju Memorial Sculpture at Dhaka University, marking one month since the fall of the Sheikh Hasina regime.
Announced during a press conference yesterday, the nationwide event is dedicated to paying tribute to the martyrs of the uprising. Sarjis Alam, a coordinator of the movement, urged students to participate actively and honor those who sacrificed their lives.
The march will proceed through major areas of Dhaka, including Nilkhet, Newmarket, Kalabagan, Mirpur Road, Manik Mia Avenue, and Sangsad Bhaban, before circling back to Raju Memorial and concluding at the Central Shaheed Minar.
This event is designed to galvanize students and the public, fostering solidarity and remembrance across the country.
