Weekly Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSE, Dhaka Bourse has seen a drops in turnover, Market Capitalization & Index. This information was disclosed in the weekly market review from the DSE

According to sources, (5 working days) the turnover of DSE lost by Tk 77 crore 7 lakh 90 thousand 796 (4 June – 8 June). At the same time, the market capitalization has also lost by 592 crore 98 lakh 4 thousand 590 taka.

The benchmark index ‘DSEX’ shed by 2.71 points or 0.04 percent, in the outgoing week. At the end of the week, the index stands at 6,352 points. The Shariah-based index ‘DSES’ dropped 1.14 points or 0.08 percent and therefore the index stands at 1,378 points. The blue-chip index ‘DS30’ lost 8.44 points or 0.38 percent, hence the index stands at 2,192 points.

Shares and units worth 5 thousand 444 crore 56 lakh 19 thousand 784 taka were traded in Dhaka Stock Exchange. At the end of the week, the market capitalization stood at 7 lakh 73 thousand 668 crore 28 lakh 39 thousand 890 taka.

Shares and units of 402 companies were traded on DSE during the week. Of these, 208 shares were unchanged, 114 companies declined, and 69 companies advanced.

Meghna Life Insurance Company has ranked at the top of weekly trading on DSE. It is known that 2 crore 4 lakh 91 thousand 398 shares of the company were traded throughout the week. Its market value is 237 crore 67 lakh 52 thousand takas.

Trust Islami Life Insurance Limited has ranked at the top of weekly gainers on DSE. It is known that the share traded a total of Tk 3 crore 11 lakh 15 thousand, which is an average of 62 lakh 23 thousand per day. The share has risen 60.36 pc to its highest price.

National Tea Company Limited has ranked at the top of weekly losers on DSE. It is known the share traded a total of Tk 5 crore 80 lakh 29 thousand, which is an average of 1 crore 16 lakh 5 thousand 800 shares per day. The share has dropped 15.97 percent lowest in the last week.
