Weekly Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSE, Dhaka Bourse has seen a drop in turnover amid hikes in Market Capitalization & Index. This information was disclosed in the weekly market review from the DSE
According to sources, (5 working days) the turnover of DSE lost by Tk 911 crore 13 lakh 67 thousand 163 (18 June – 22 June). At the same time, the market capitalization has gained by 1 thousand 999 crore 85 lakh 65 thousand 428 taka.
The benchmark index ‘DSEX’ added by 39.23 points or 0.62 percent, in the outgoing week. At the end of the week, the index stands at 6,319 points. The Shariah-based index ‘DSES’ gained 7.55 points or 0.55 percent and therefore the index stands at 1,372 points. The blue-chip index ‘DS30’ increased 5.24 points or 0.24 percent, hence the index stands at 2,187 points.
Shares and units worth 2 thousand 958 crore 47 lakh 44 thousand 162 taka were traded in Dhaka Stock Exchange. At the end of the week, the market capitalization stood at 7 lakh 71 thousand 529 crore 4 lakh 5 thousand 282 taka.
Shares and units of 403 companies were traded on DSE during the week. Of these, 208 shares were unchanged, 23 companies declined, and 162 companies advanced.
Meghna Life Insurance Company has ranked at the top of weekly trading on DSE. It is known that 99 lakh 70 thousand 16 shares of the company were traded throughout the week. Its market value is 105 crore 68 lakh 13 thousand takas.

Khan Brothers PP Woven Bag Industries Limited has ranked at the top of weekly gainers on DSE. It is known that the share traded a total of Tk 46 crore 91 lakh 5 thousand, which is an average of 9 crore 38 lakh 21 thousand per day. The share has risen 30 pc to its highest price.
Samata Leather Complex Limited has ranked at the top of weekly losers on DSE. It is known the share traded a total of Tk 5 crore 75 lakh 34 thousand, which is an average of 1 crore 15 lakh 6 thousand 800 shares per day. The share has dropped 6.81 percent lowest in the last week.
