The well-marked low-pressure system that was present over Northeast Madhya Pradesh and its surrounding areas has now weakened and transformed into a low-pressure area over the same region. According to a release from the meteorological office, the axis of the monsoon trough stretches from Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, the center of the low-pressure area, Bihar, West Bengal, and Assam, traversing the central part of Bangladesh.
Currently, the monsoon is active over Bangladesh and exhibits strength over the North Bay. Weather conditions are expected to bring light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds in most areas across Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions. In some places throughout the country, these showers may be moderately heavy to very heavy.
The meteorological office also mentioned that day and night temperatures are likely to remain relatively stable across the country.
