According to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), the country is likely to experience more rain over the next 24 hours as the monsoon remains active.
The BMD predicts that Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions will witness light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds.
Similarly, Khulna, Dhaka, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions can expect rain at many places, with some areas experiencing moderately heavy to very heavy falls. The BMD further anticipates an increase in rainfall over the next 72 hours.
Day and night temperatures are expected to remain relatively stable. The monsoon is active in the northern part of the country, fairly active elsewhere in Bangladesh, and moderate over the north Bay. Notably, Netrokona recorded the highest rainfall of 124 mm within a 24-hour period until 6 am today. Jashore registered the highest temperature of 35.5 degrees Celsius, while Tangail observed the minimum temperature of 23.5 degrees Celsius.
