PM Sheikh hasina bangladesh Brown University

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina remarked on Sunday (August 20) that Bangladesh has demonstrated resilience in the face of both natural and manmade challenges since 2009, attributing the nation’s progress to the unwavering presence of a democratic government.

Despite contending with various adversities such as natural disasters, human-caused crises, and instances of arson-related violence, Bangladesh remains on a forward trajectory. The Prime Minister made these statements while inaugurating two newly constructed multistory office buildings: the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission Bhaban and the Information Commission Bhaban, located in Agargaon, Dhaka.

During a virtual ceremony held from her official residence, Ganabhaban, she unveiled the impressive 15-storey BTRC Bhaban and the 13-storey Information Commission Bhaban. Additionally, Prime Minister Hasina laid the foundation stone for the BFDC Complex, which will serve as a modernized hub for the Bangladesh Film Development Corporation in Karwan Bazar, Dhaka.

The Prime Minister expressed her determination for the nation’s progress to persist and extended her gratitude to the citizens of Bangladesh for repeatedly entrusting her party, the Bangladesh Awami League, symbolized by the ‘boat,’ with their votes. The BTRC Bhaban was erected on a one-acre plot of land, while the Information Commission Bhaban occupied 0.35 acres.
