Dhaka Stock Exchange DSE, Bourses on the first working day of the fourth week of the month today, November 27, ended with price index & trade hikes.

339 crores 73 lakh shares were traded in DSE on this day. 15 crores 93 lakh taka more trading was done in DSE today compared to the previous workday, 24 November, Shares worth Tk 323 crores 80 lakh shares were traded in DSE last time, Thursday.

The benchmark index DSEX rose 17.17 points or 6,232. The Shariah-based index DSES hiked 9.89 points or 1,363, and the blue-chip index DS30 increased 12.72 points or 2,202.

Of the issues traded, 47 advanced, 41 declined, and 216 remained unchanged.

The company’s Consolidated earnings per share (EPS) was Tk 0.24 paisa in Q1 of the current financial year (January – March 24). Consolidated EPS was Tk 0.14 (restated) paisa during the same period last year. As of March 31, 2024, at the end of the first quarter of the fiscal year, the company’s Consolidated net asset value (NAV) per share stood at Tk 23.24.

Weekly Dhaka Bourse Skyrockets with 36% Surge in Avg. Turnover

Weekly Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSE, Dhaka Bourse has seen a hike in Indices, Turnover & Market Capitlization throughout the whole week. This information was disclosed in the weekly market review from the DSE.

According to sources, (5 working days) the turnover of DSE added by Tk 1 thousand 978 crore 99 lakh (May 5 – May 9). At the same time, the market capitalization has increased by 1 thousand 235 crore 4 lakh taka.

The benchmark index ‘DSEX’ added by 45.4 points or 0.81 percent, in the outgoing week. At the end of the week, the index stands at 5,661 points. The Shariah-based index ‘DSES’ gained 10.14 points or 0.82 percent and therefore the index stands at 1,242 points. The blue-chip index ‘DS30’ increased by 7.38 points or 0.37 percent, hence the index stands at 2,015 points.

Shares and units worth 4 thousand 802 crore 72 lakh taka were traded in Dhaka Stock Exchange. At the end of the week, the market capitalization stood at 7 lakh 7 thousand 26  crore 10 lakh taka.

Shares and units of 412 companies were traded on Bourse during the week. Of these, 25 shares were unchanged, 128 companies declined, and 240 companies advanced.

Asiatic Laboratories has ranked at the top of weekly trading on DSE. The Company records an average turnover of 37 crore 82 lakh taka.

Saif Powertec Limited ranked at the top of weekly gainers on DSE.  The share has risen 42.46 percent to its highest price.

Uttara Bank PLC has ranked at the top of weekly losers on DSE. The share has dropped 16.15 percent lowest in the last week.
