Index, Turnover Shrinks on DSE

Dhaka Stock Exchange DSE, Bourses on the first working day of the week, February 19, ended with price index & turnover drops.

285 crores 15 lakh shares were traded in DSE on this day. 55 crores 17 lakhs less trading was done in DSE today compared to the previous workday, 16 February, Shares worth Tk 340 crores 33 lakh shares were traded in DSE last time, Thursday.

The benchmark index DSEX dropped 18.27 points or 6,227. The Shariah-based index DSES shed 4.42 points or 1,362, and the blue-chip index DS30 lost 2.68 points or 2,221.

Of the issues traded, 18 advanced, 148 declined, and 132 remained unchanged.

ICB AMCL CMSF Golden Jubilee Mutual Fund ranked top gainer on DSE, the share price increased by Tk 0.7 paisa or 9.33percent. On this day, the share was last traded at Tk 8.20 paisa.

On the other hand, Apex Footwear Limited ranked top loser on the DSE, the share price dropped by Tk 26.30 paisa or 8.09 percent. On this day, the share was last traded at Tk 298.90 paisa.

DSE topped on trade Bangladesh Shipping Corporation, 26 crores 95 lakh 65 thousand takas of shares of the company have been traded.

A total of 53 companies’ shares were traded in the Block on Dhaka Stock Exchange, 55 lakh 40 thousand 84 shares of the companies were traded. The financial value of which is 41 crore 51 lakh taka.

On the other hand, DSE-SME (Small & Medium Enterprises) Index dropped to 3.57points which now stood at 1,067 points. The total turnover stops by the end of the day at 1 crore 23 lakh.

ATB (Alternate Trading Board) Platform, LankaBangla Securities Limited turnover stood at 30 thousand.

597 crore 56 lakh taka shares were traded on this day. 22 crore 63 lakh more tradings were done in DSE today compared to the previous workday, 22nd April , Shares worth Tk 574 crores 92 lakh shares were traded last time, Monday.

The benchmark DSEX lost  41.25 points or 5,633 The Shariah-based index DSES dropped 7.36 points or 1,235, and the blue-chip index DS30 decreased by 3.48 points or 1,980.

Of the issues traded, 50 advanced, 310 declined and 36 remained unchanged.

BD Thai Food & Beverage Limited ranked top gainer on DSE, the share price increased by Tk 3.20 paisa or 9.79 percent. On this day, the share was last traded at Tk 35.90 paisa.

Khan Brothers PP Woven Bag Industries Limited ranked top loser on the DSE, the share price dropped by Tk 1.30 paisa or 9.09 percent. On this day, the share was last traded at Tk 13.00 paisa.

DSE topped on trade is Asiatic Laboratories Limited 39 crore 87 lakh takas of company shares have been traded.

A total of 40 companies’ shares were traded in the Block on Dhaka Stock Exchange. A total of 93 lakh 98 thousand 868 shares of the companies were traded. The financial value of which is 24 crore 88 lakh taka
