According to sources, (4 working days) the market capitalization of DSE hiked by Tk 2 thousand 476 crore 9 lakh 69 thousand 518 (5 March– 9 March) At the same time, the turnover has gained by 791 crore 4 lakh 48 thousand 703 taka.
The benchmark index ‘DSEX’ rose 46.43 points or 0.75 percent, in the outgoing week. At the end of the week, the index stands at 6,260 points. The Shariah-based index ‘DSES’ gained 5.04 points or 0.37 percent and therefore the index stands at 1,362 points. The blue-chip index ‘DS30’ rose 10.68 points or 0.48 percent, hence the index stands at 2,226 points.
Shares and units worth 2 thousand 584 crore 97 lakh 90 thousand 985 taka were traded in Dhaka Stock Exchange. At the end of the week, the market capitalization stood at 7 lakh 65 thousand 591 crore 59 lakh 7 thousand 90 taka.
Shares and units of 400 companies were traded on DSE during the week. Of these, 225 shares were unchanged. 23 companies declined, while 135 companies advanced.
Genex Infosys Limited has ranked at the top of weekly trading on DSE. It is known that 1 crore 52 lakh 90 thousand 285 shares of the company were traded throughout the week. Its market value is 154 crore 47 akh 86 thousand takas.
Legacy Footwear Limited has ranked at the top of weekly gainers on DSE. It is known that the share traded a total of Tk 1 crore 96 lakh 38 thousand, which is an average of 49 lakh 9 thousand 500 per day. The share has risen 22.30 pc to its highest price.

The benchmark index DSEX dropped 3.15 points or 6,204. The Shariah-based index DSES lost 2.95 points or 1,349, and the blue-chip index DS30 shed 1.96 points or 2,215.
