Bongo Receives Tk 5cr Boost from Startup Bangladesh for Innovative Expansion
Startup Bangladesh Limited, a pioneering venture capital firm operating under the ICT Division, has unveiled a strategic investment venture in Bongo, a prominent digital entertainment platform in Bangladesh. This joint initiative is poised to significantly enhance the landscape of online entertainment and content consumption within the nation.
Formalizing this collaboration, an agreement has been inked between the two entities, involving a substantial investment of Tk 5 crore earmarked for Bongo’s ambitious growth and expansion strategies. The signing event, a distinguished occasion, transpired in Dhaka and saw the presence of key figures such as Zunaid Ahmed Palak, the State Minister for ICT; Md. Shamsul Arefin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Startup Bangladesh; Sami Ahmed, Managing Director of Startup Bangladesh; and representatives from Bongo.
The State Minister remarked that this strategic partnership with Bongo vividly underscores Startup Bangladesh’s resolute dedication to nurturing innovation and propelling domestic startups that cater to the multifaceted demands of the populace. He further emphasized that Bongo’s remarkable trajectory harmonizes with the vision of an intelligent Bangladesh, and expressed eagerness to amplify the platform’s influence in the domain of indigenous solutions.
Md Shamsul Arefin, Secretary of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division, articulated that this transformative journey is underpinned by innovation and synergistic collaboration, as exemplified through the alliance with Bongo, which aims to reshape Bangladesh’s digital entertainment panorama.
