BSEC: Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission commissioner Rumana Islam has stated that if women can turn their savings or funds or capital into an investment, it will likely to have a beneficial impact on the stock market.

Dr. Rumana Islam made this statement while answering the business news media Orthosongbad.

Dr. Rumana Islam also said, BSEC always gives special importance to women. The Financial Literacy Department of BSEC arranged investment education for women. Following that, both stock exchanges also organized various workshops for women.

She said that recently BSEC has held a separate session for women in the district-wise workshops. A separate session is held to motivate women. Only women are participating in these sessions.

Dr. Rumana Islam added, we always say, you have to invest wisely in the capital market. The same applies to women. There are many other investment opportunities in our stock market apart from just buying shares. Our women can invest in those that are less risky (Mutual Funds, Bonds, etc.).

She said, our women like to save. If their savings can be converted into investments, it will have a great impact on the Bangladesh Stock Market.
